Safeguarding Adviser needed

Date: 24th Mar 2022 Author: Jackie Dawson

Dorset Scouts needs someone to promote and advise on a safeguarding culture in all aspects of what we do. Could you advise on digital safeguarding practices or how to make premises suitable? Could you provide support to our volunteers on best practice whether that’s sections, executives or campsites.

Formal Safeguarding qualifications are not required but experience of the issues within Scouts is essential. This role is not expected to manage or be involved in local cases nor to deliver training. More info.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
