County Cooking Competition 2019

Date: 5th Feb 2019 Author: Scout Websites

Every year the county holds a cooking competition for scouts. Two teams from each District can attend. This year seven teams entered from across the County. Each year the competition has a theme, and this year’s theme was ‘Jamborees, Past, Present and Future’. The teams had to present a menu based on this theme with 3 courses for 4 people on a budget of just £18.

The competition was at a very high standard and proved very challenging for the judges to decide. After just over 2 hours of cooking the results were some fabulous food that the judges couldn’t get enough of.

The winners of the competition were 1st Yetminster Scout Group. Second place went to 1st Lytchett Minster Scout Group as well as them winning best dessert. 3rd place went to 24th Bournemouth Scout Group.

Well done to all who took part!  Good luck to our teams who will be entering Regionals on 10th March.
