First Response Training

First Response Training

For those volunteers who are required to have first aid training, the First Response level is what most people do. Some people opt to do the 2 day course which is a higher level and supports advanced situations especially if you are going to be more remote.

First Response training can be done in two ways once we are at Green level:

  • Self-study online followed by a practical session.
  • Traditional instructor-led course.

During the pandemic, First Response training can be done in two ways – the practical cannot be done until Amber level:

  • Self-study online, followed by a 2hr Zoom session with an instructor, then a short practical
  • Three 2hr Zoom sessions with an instructor, then a short practical

Self-study

Enrol yourself onto the online course and complete the learning at your own pace (2-3 hours) and book onto the other elements afterwards (you will get an email to explain this).

To enrol, click the button below then sign up by clicking ‘Sign in’ at the top right.

Instructor-led course

Book your Zoom courses (module 10a part 1 -3) from our Training Calendar.

If Zoom is not an option for you, register your interest in a face-to-face course once we are able to run them.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
