County SAS units

Scout Active Support are volunteers that support other adults to deliver the programme. You can be an SAS Volunteer for your District and/or County.

There are several SAS units in Dorset county:

A general unit of volunteers willing to help here they can.

A 4×4 unit who can events needing 4-wheel drive support vehicles.

A Scouting in Hospitals group of volunteers who currently provides scouting to young people in Dorchester hospital.

A ‘Friday Crew’ group of volunteers who volunteer to support our camping centre at Buddens.

We also have members who belong to the UK Brownsea SAS unit and the UK Bushscout SAS unit.

Send any enquiries to the county office who can put you in touch with the right person.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
