County Office

Dorset Scouts is supported by our small but wonderful team in our office at Dorset’s Camping & Activity Centre, Buddens, near Wareham.

The office is open from 8.30am – 4.00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and 8.30am – 12.30pm Monday and Friday on 01929 472374 or emails on countyoffice@dorsetscouts.org.uk.

Elizabeth Poppitt started the County Office in June 2009 and became its Manager and County Secretary. Sarah Burtt joined her part-time in March 2017 as the office workload grew.

Between them they provide administrative support to Dorset County Scouts Council and are the focal point for all enquiries to assist Scouting in Dorset.  As well as supporting the County Chair, County Commissioner and his Teams, they are always happy to help our Dorset Scout Members … Every day is an adventure in County Office!
