The World Scout Jamboree will take place in Sweden during the summer of 2011. Dorset has been allocated two units to form part of the UK Contingent, however this will be made up slightly different to previous times that we have sent two units.
Unit 1 - will consist of 3 Scout Patrols (+3 leaders) and 1 Girl Guide Patrol (+1 Guide Leader)
Unit 2 - will consist of 3 Scout Patrols (+3 leaders) and 1 Solidarity Patrol (+1 Leader)
A Solidarity Patrol is a patrol that is supported and funded by the UK in attending the World Scout Jamboree from a developing country, who would not otherwise be able to attend the Jamboree.
The first stage of the selection process, the selection of the Leadership Team is now complete. Selection of young people will start after the summer break.
